Embodied Breathwork Sessions

 FAQs for Reiki Sessions

  • Reiki is a gentle energy healing technique that channels universal life force energy to support the body's natural healing processes. By placing hands lightly on or above the body, Reiki helps to clear energy blockages, promoting balance, relaxation, and overall well-being.

  • During a Reiki session, you'll lie comfortably on a massage table, fully clothed. As the practitioner places their hands lightly on or above different areas of your body, you may experience warmth, tingling, or a deep sense of calm. Each session is unique, but most people leave feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and more centered.

  • The number of Reiki sessions needed varies depending on your goals. Some clients feel significant benefits after just one session, while others may find that a series of sessions deepens their healing and helps maintain balance. To support ongoing well-being, you may feel called to schedule monthly Reiki sessions. Your practitioner can help create a personalized plan that suits your needs.

  • To prepare for your Reiki session, wear comfortable clothing and arrive with an open mind. While no special preparation is needed, staying hydrated and taking a few moments to relax beforehand can enhance your experience. Feel free to share any specific intentions or areas of concern with your practitioner before the session begins.

  • After a Reiki session, practice gentle self-care. Drink plenty of water to help your body process and integrate the energy work. Spending time outside in nature can be especially grounding; take a walk, breathe in fresh air, or simply sit and connect with the earth. Allow yourself time to rest and fully absorb the benefits of the session. Journaling any thoughts or feelings that arise can also be helpful. Trust your body and give yourself the space to relax and rejuvenate.

It’s important to consult your primary care physician/mental health provider before trying breathwork if you have: cardiovascular complications, high or abnormal blood pressure, history of aneurysms, epilepsy or history of seizures, anyone on heavy medication, severe psychiatric symptoms (particularly psychosis or paranoia), bipolar disorder, osteoporosis, recent surgery, glaucoma, pregnancy, an active addiction, any person with mental illness who isn’t in treatment or lacks adequate support.
